In today’s environment, factories constantly need to meet new demands. Apart from high mutability, social aspects as well as upcoming technological challenges have to be regarded in the planning and designing of factories. The congress “Factory planning – next steps” in Aachen offers solutions and trends in the areas of production planning, project planning and architecture and encourages the dialogue with experts.Under the leading theme “next steps” a special focus is put on adaptable production systems, sustainable building concepts and agile planning and realisation processes.

Factory planning – next steps

VortragMore than ever planning a factory means team effort. It requires the integrated RWTH Aachen University – Founders:collaboration of mechanical, industrial and civil engineers, architects and city planners and numerous stakeholders to ensure a prompt, cost effective and flexible result.
We would like you to join us in discussing the different options. What needs to be done to create real value through proper factory planning? We have several successful representatives from industry and research who will share their expertise on the following topics:

  • Agile Design of Factories and Planning Processes
  • The Factory of the Future
  • Potential for Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) Reduction
  • Integrated Building and Equipment Design and Layout

During the parallel industry exhibition there is the opportunity for all participants to talk to specialists in the field of planning and implementation.
